Steve and Jet Thank all our members old and new for your fantastic support in the past. We are not holding any meetings in the near future but are looking at some pop up curry nights at various venues.
More about that later this year.
Based in Bury, Lancashire,England.
Bury Curry Club was established in 1999, by a group of people from a wide range of ages and various walks of life.
We meet once a month at different restaurants in the Lancashire and a Greater Manchester area and sample the curries on offer usually at a set price for starter, curries and coffee (not including drinks). Our aim is to promote a relaxed. friendly, informal atmosphere.
Members are encouraged to try something different but, if you want to enjoy your usual that's OK.
Usually not less than thirty members attend . After the meal we use a simple star system one to five to rate the restaurant for ambiance, menu choice, food quality, service and price. Dependant on the members views, we then award a Gold Certificate .
We also keep a top ten of popular curry houses we have visited.
New members are always welcome, cick here for details
We often invite local dignateries such as the Mayor of Bury pictured below.
There are no membership charges. We only ask you to enjoy the atmosphere and assist in rating the restaurant to our simple star system which, helps members maintain the top fifteen.
President Jet Vyas and Vice President Steve Treadgold the former Mayor of Bury. Publish the web site, organise the venue and email members with news.
We are always willing to try any restaurant kind enough to invite us especially those offering a discount on food prices.
